Broadway composers writing chamber music featuring the cello
The Cello Project is a series of new works for the cello written by Broadway composers. Of course Broadway composers most often write songs and musicals. The Cello Project invited them to write instrumental music featuring the cello. The composers were given an array of instruments to fit their ideas, and they created chamber music. It’s wonderful stuff.
